Qinghai University (QHU, 青海大学) is a national "Project 211" and "Double First-Class" university co-constructed by the Ministry of Education and the Qinghai Provincial People's Government. Founded in 1958 as Qinghai Engineering Institute, it incorporated Qinghai Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, Qinghai Academy of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, and Qinghai Medical College, supported through a historic one-on-one pairing assistance program led by Tsinghua University.
