Henan University of Technology (HAUT, 河南工业大学) was established in 1956 as the Central Grain Cadre School in Beijing—the first grain and cereal institution founded in the People's Republic of China. Co-built by the Henan Provincial Government and the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, HAUT is internationally celebrated as the "Whampoa Military Academy of the World Grain and Food Industry."
